The American Miracle, a Movie in Production
I sat down for an interview for this new film. America was no accident
I recently had the exciting opportunity to sit down for an interview and visit the set of the upcoming movie, The American Miracle, which is based on the book by Michael Medved. The American Miracle is anticipating a 2025 release by Heroic Pictures.
On a lighthearted note, George Washington informed me that I was the same height as his wife.
I've heard that before. Once when I visited the exhibits at Mount Vernon, Washington's home, one of the curators told me that I could probably wear Martha's wedding gown because I am the same height as she was, 5 ft tall.
One of my favorite quotes from George Washington comes from his farewell speech to the Army in 1783.
"The singular interpositions of Providence in our feeble condition were such, as could scarcely escape the attention of the most unobserving, while the unparalleled perseverance of the Armies of the United States, through almost every possible suffering and discouragement, for the space of eight long years, was little short of a standing Miracle.”
In other words, even those who were not that observant could see that Providence's hand had played a role in the perseverance and preservation of the Continental Army. General Washington believed it was a miracle that his men had defeated the Army of the British Empire. Indeed. I can't wait for you to see this film, which is scheduled for 2025 release. America needs this movie.
I admire the persistence and courage it took for our founders to confront the tyranny of the English. We are experiencing similar tyranny today. Change may be in the wind.
I really enjoyed the design and planning of the garden area near the house at Mount Vernon.
